Vacation Bible School Planning Meeting

There will be a meeting for all people who would like to volunteer with Vacation Bible School, scheduled for July 23 to July 27 from 9:00am to Noon. Our theme this year is the Wilderness Park where we will seek and find True Peace, True Riches, True Power, True Love and True Hope through scripture, arts and crafts, music, snack and games. The Gift of Holiness, Living a Dynamic Catholic Life

Join us for a special day exploring the theme “The Gift of Holiness: Living a Dynamic Catholic Life.” We will begin our day with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Sartain. We will spend time in Eucharistic Adoration and have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We will also be inspired with talks by Fr. Jim Northrop, Fr. Jack Schrum, Fr. Bryan Dolesji and Dr. Tom Curran. There will also be live music to make our day complete.


We are all called to be holy. Learn how you can become more holy every day of the year and grow closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! This day long event is designed to help you live, celebrate and stregthen your Catholic faith. Click here for complete details.

CYO Soccer Fair

CYO Soccer Fair 2012 - is scheduled for Sunday, May 20th, from 10am to 1pm. We will kickoff the Fall Soccer Registration this date (registration will be closed in June). CYO Commission will be offering a $5 discount for those who register during the fair. A raffle for some really cool prizes will be drawn every 20 minutes for the kids. Soccer coaches will be hosting skill stations. UK Elite Soccer will be on hand for a 30 minute training session, and will accept registration for their 2012 CYO Summer Camp at our soccer field. Moms and dads, complimentary coffee and donuts will be provided along with water. Don't miss this action filled Sunday, and mark this date on your calendar.

KofC Breakfast

The last Knights of Columbus Breakfast for the year, until September, will be on Sunday, May 20th, after all morning Masses. Menu will consist of the usual eggs, sausage and French toast.

Faith Formation Classes/ Catechist Training

Part 2 of the Catechist training for this upcoming fall program will be May 22, 2012, 7:30pm in the parish office. If you did not attend the first class, it is not too late. Please plan to attend the second meeting and we will catch you up. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your faith with children ages 5 to 11 who are eager to learn. This is a great way for our St Philomena School Parents to get their service hours taken care of. For more information call Kara in the parish office. 206.878.8709.
